Your group could perform on the WICKED stage!
Believe NYC is seeking choir, dance and musical theater groups to perform on Broadway at The Gershwin Theater, home of Broadway's Wicked as well as The Theater Hall of Fame. Select groups will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to perform alongside seasoned Broadway performers in an inspiring concert event to raise funds for Autism Speaks. Past Believe NYC performers include Laura Osnes (Cinderella, South Pacific, Grease), Adam Jacobs (Aladdin, The Lion King, Les Miserables), Mary Testa (Xanadu), and Stephen DeRosa (Boardwalk Empire, Into the Woods, Hairspray). To apply, please fill out the application form on this page. We encourage you to apply early as space is limited.
Students will participate in both private and large group rehearsals and workshops leading up to the concert. Vocalist will work with a Broadway music director and dancers will work with an esteemed Broadway choreographer in preparation for the evening’s performance.
All proceeds from the performance will be donated to Autism Speaks. ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) affects over 2 million individuals in the U.S. and tens of millions worldwide. An estimated 1 out of 54 boys and 1 in 252 girls are diagnosed with autism in the United States. Autism Speaks is dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
Please send in a DVD or YouTube link of your group performing within the last year. We encourage you to apply early as space is limited.
